PCT: Days 137-138

We were back at Matt and Jessi’s for a couple days and loaded their house with thruhikers. The General was already there, but by some stroke of luck the Daley family was in Portland for a couple days before jumping to Hart’s Pass to head SOBO. We invited them to stay with us rather than in town and ended up with a full house. We’ve wanted to hang out with them for a while but it always seems to turn into short periods due to something not going to plan. It worked out this time, and we had a great time hanging out with David, Marketa, Sequoia, Joshua, and Standa for a couple days.

The Daleys and General were planning on heading to Hart’s Pass together and spent some time prepping food and planning logistics. We would have loved to go with them, but Blue Lizard’s knee isn’t ready just yet. Instead she’ll be hiking the Timberline trail with Jessi in a couple days to check on how her knee is doing. If it goes well we’ll likely head back out on trail somewhere in Washington. If it doesn’t go well we’ll probably turn the next week into more of a vacation and enjoy some downtime.
