This is it, the day we finally, officially, enter the Sierra. Blue Lizard’s parents drop us off at Kennedy Meadows in the morning and we continue our northward journey. The trail starts fairly flat but begins to ascend a couple miles in as we start the push upwards into the higher elevations we’ll be at for the next few weeks. We get some sobering news along the way that there was a fatality on Forestor Pass just days before. We’ll be there in a few days time.
General catches up with us on our first break and we hike together for the next several days. After a lot of climbing we descend to the Kern River and our campsite for the night.

Praying for you guys every day! Enjoy the uodates!
