PCT: Day 6

Day 6 marked our first zero of the trail, i.e. our first day with no hiking.  We spent the day in Mount Laguna where we rented a small 2 bedroom cabin.  Despite being a day “off” we were still busy most of the day.  We went through our resupply boxes, repacked food for the next stretch, did laundry in a bucket, ate more town food than we should have and showered.

Added to that, Gareth and Andrew got their trail names, Rockhopper and Waterboy, respectively. The weather was mostly sunny until late in the day when the wind started to howl, and howled all night long, reinforcing our decision to spend the night indoors.
