OK, I’m really late getting to this, but you also didn’t miss much. We’re in a bit of a state of limbo as we all want to get some more miles in, but our motivation is waning with all of the time off. We spent a couple days hanging out with the Daleys before driving them to Timberline Lodge where they would start hiking north towards Cascade Locks. We squeezed in non-hiking activities for the kids. Rockhopper went rock climbing, and Bat Boy went to the zoo with Blue Lizard.
PCT Days, a large annual outdoors festival, was coming up at the end of this time off so we opted to take the time off in Portland rather than get more hiking in. Day 158 had us picking up Manny from the airport as he was flying in to attend PCT Days and get back on trail. We’re planning on spending the next two days at the festival followed by getting back on trail at Timberline Lodge with Manny and the General.
