We kept our plans to head to Lost Lake for a couple days to ride out some of the heat wave. The highs are supposed to be around 100F for at least the next week and a cool lake sounds wonderful. General has decided to stick around a little longer and goes with us. We spent the next two days kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, eating ice cream and smores, and watching osprey catch fish.

We’re far away from the fires and if anything will be headed into Washington next so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Glad you are safe. National news showed 20 PCT hikers being rescued from trail on Calif and Oregon border. You may know some of them.
We like to think of you as “Ash Hopper”!

I think there were almost 60 evacuated the last I checked. Many of them I’ve met and a few of them have become pretty close friends.
