Blue Lizard’s parents pick us up in Ridgecrest, and we make our way south, passing in a couple hours through landscapes that took us 2 months to traverse. It’s fun to see where we’ve been, and it’s amazing just how far we’ve come on our own feet. We make a couple stops along the way to replace shoes for most of us and shirts for Rockhopper and Blue Lizard. We ended up at a mall to replace shirts and were a bit overwhelmed by how many people there were after living in the wilderness for a couple months.
Once we finish shopping we head to the cabin we rented just outside of Idyllwild and relax for the rest of the day and the entire next day before Waterboy gets back on trail to pick up the 59 mile stretch which includes San Jacinto.
