After a few relaxing days in Portland which included catching up with friends, taste testing ice cream sandwiches, and getting last minute haircuts it was time to make our way South. We had an uneventful two day drive to San Diego, and spent our last day off by going to the San Diego Zoo and relaxing at our hotel’s pool.
Next up was a another 3 hours of travel, this time on the San Diego trolley and a bus to get us to Campo. From there we walked to CLEEF to camp for the night with about 20 other hikers also starting the same day.
